Welcome to CP-37!

CP-37 is located in historic Wellington, Ohio, about 50 minutes from downtown Cleveland. This is the junction of CSX's busy Greenwich Sub (Indianapolis Line) and Wheeling & Lake Erie's Hartland Subdivision (Bellevue Main).
Wellington sees approximately 50 trains per day on the CSX line and around a dozen on the W&LE. Many of these trains, however, run at night. A typical daylight visit will yield 25-30 total trains between the two lines.
Trains on CSX use AAR Channel 50 (160.860) for road traffic and the dispatcher (CSX IG) monitors Channel 25 (160.485). Wheeling & Lake Erie trains use Channel 61 (161.025). W&LE is dispatched by train orders so monitoring their channel will make catching approaching trains easy. Westbound CSX trains pass three audible defect detectors (Columbia, Grafton, and LaGrange) to announce their approach, plus crews will call signals along the way. Eastbound CSX trains don't allow for as much warning due to terrain issues, but most scanners will pick up the crews calling the signal at milepost 39, two miles away.
